Admission Requirements

Diploma, Bachelor’s, and Graduate Studies
Admission Requirements

Diploma and Bachelor’s

  • The applicant must be a Saudi citizen, born to a Saudi mother, or a mother of a Saudi son.
  • The applicant must hold a high school certificate or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom.
  • If employed by any government or private entity, the applicant must obtain approval from the employer to study.
  • The applicant must have the General Aptitude Test score for the humanities track, and both General Aptitude and Achievement Test scores for the scientific track.
  • The electronically entered data must match the original documents.
  • The validity period of the aptitude and achievement test scores is determined by the National Center for Assessment.
  • The applicant must not have been academically dismissed from the University or any other university.
  • The University does not accept applicants already admitted to another university, and admission is cancelled if the applicant is found to be admitted elsewhere.
Admission Requirements

Graduate Studies

  • The applicant must be Saudi, or must have an official graduate scholarship if non-Saudi, in accordance with Ministry of Education regulations.
  • The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree with a grade of at least Good from a Saudi university or another recognized university.
  • The applicant must have good conduct and be medically fit.
  • Applicants for doctoral programs must hold an academic master’s degree from a Saudi university or another recognized university.
  • The applicant must submit two academic recommendations from professors who have previously taught them.
  • The applicant must obtain at least 60 in the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates.
  • If employed, the applicant must provide employer approval for programs offered during official working hours.
  • The academic department may add further conditions according to the nature of the program, in coordination with the Deanship of Graduate Studies and International Cooperation.
  • Full-time study is required for doctoral programs.
