Admission Requirements
Admission requirements for diploma, bachelor, and postgraduate programs at the University of Jeddah.
- The applicant must be a Saudi national, born to a Saudi mother, or the mother of a Saudi child.
- Must hold a high school certificate or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom.
- Must obtain their employer’s approval to study if employed by a government or private entity.
- Must have a General Aptitude Test score for the humanities track, and both General Aptitude and Achievement Test scores for the science track.
- Electronically entered data must match the original documents.
- Must not have been academically dismissed from the university or any other university.
- The university does not accept students already admitted to another university; admission is revoked for anyone found admitted to another institution.
- The applicant must be Saudi, or hold an official postgraduate scholarship if non-Saudi, per applicable regulations.
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree with a grade of at least Good from a Saudi or other recognized university.
- Must be of good conduct and medically fit.
- Must provide two academic recommendations from professors who previously taught them.
- Must score at least 60 on the Postgraduate General Aptitude Test.
- Employed applicants must provide employer approval for programs offered during official working hours.
- Academic departments may add further requirements per program nature, in coordination with the Deanship of Graduate Studies and International Cooperation.
