Outgoing Students

• The program must be academically accredited.
• Valid student exchange agreements covering the applicant’s program (at least one agreement).
• Earned credit hours at the time of application must be no fewer than 30 and no more than 90, or completion of the first academic year as a minimum and the third academic year as a maximum. Specializations longer than four years, such as medical programs, are exempt from this condition.
• A cumulative GPA of no less than 3.0 out of 4 or 3.75 out of 5 (very good) at the time of application. Students with distinguished student activities — such as participation in student clubs, volunteer work, and community service — are exempt.
• Proof of registration for a minimum-level English language test, determined by the specialization and the host institution’s requirements, with no financial liability on the home institution.
• The student must not have previously received support from their institution for other international participation, such as cooperative training, summer training, or international trips, so that opportunities reach the largest possible number of students.
• A clear student record statement free of any academic or non-academic violations during study at the home institution.

Required Documents

• A copy of the English language placement test score.
• Completion of all required forms.
• A copy of a passport valid for no less than the study period (calculated from the date of arrival at the host country’s university).
• A clear copy of the national ID.
• Four personal photographs, size (46).
• An official certified copy of the most recent academic record from the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
• A copy of the integrated study plan including a minimum of (15) academic credit hours for the study semester at the host country’s university, in coordination with the relevant academic department.

Incoming Students

• The applicant’s academic program must be academically accredited at the home institution.
• Valid student exchange agreements covering the incoming student’s academic program.
• Earned credit hours at the time of application must be no fewer than 30, or completion of the first academic year as a minimum.
• A cumulative GPA of no less than 2.5 out of 4 or 3.75 out of 5 (very good) at the time of application.
• Proof of registration for a minimum-level English language test, determined by the specialization and the academic program’s requirements, for those whose first language is not English. Humanities students (such as Islamic studies and Arabic language) must pass an Arabic language proficiency test according to the institution’s requirements.
• A letter from the home university nominating the student to study abroad.

Required Documents

• An official copy of the English language placement score for non-native English speakers, or an official copy of an Arabic language proficiency test score certified by the institution (for example, the Arabic proficiency test at the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language) for humanities students.
• Completion of all electronic forms required by the institution.
• A copy of a passport valid for no less than the study period (calculated from the date of arrival at a port of entry of Saudi Arabia).
• Four personal photographs, size (46).
• An official certified copy of the most recent academic record from the institution’s registrar.
• A copy of the integrated study plan including a minimum of (15) academic credit hours or five courses approved by the home university.

Procedures for Outgoing Students

1. Review the program terms: The student reviews the terms and regulations for applying to and participating in the exchange program at partner universities abroad.
2. Select courses: The student selects the courses they wish to study at the host university, in line with their study plan and graduation requirements.
3. Complete the external study request: The student fills in the request form for studying courses outside the University and obtains all required academic approvals.
4. Apply to the host university: The student completes the application through the host university’s website or approved platform, according to its requirements and deadlines.
5. Submit the acceptance letter: The student sends the acceptance letter issued by the host university along with the exchange nomination acceptance form to the Scholarships and Student Exchange Administration to complete the necessary procedures.
6. Course equivalency: After completing the study period abroad, the student provides the administration with the official transcript issued by the host university to complete course equivalency under the approved regulations.

Procedures for Incoming Students

1. Online registration: Complete the electronic registration form and attach the required documents and data through the student exchange platform.
2. Course selection: Review the available courses and their descriptions and select suitable courses in coordination with the academic advisor, ensuring prerequisites are met.
3. Announcement and intake: Applications open in coordination with partner universities, according to approved seats, specializations, and the set timeline.
4. Application screening: Applications and documents are reviewed to confirm admission requirements and document completeness.
5. Academic evaluation: Applications are referred to the relevant colleges and academic departments to review academic records and rank applicants according to capacity.
6. Admission approval: Admission results are approved under the adopted procedures and acceptance letters are issued to admitted students.
7. Admission confirmation: The student confirms admission within the specified period and completes the educational visa forms and procedures.
8. Arrival preparation: Coordination with the administration to complete forms and pay fees — if any — before the study period begins.
9. Academic coordination: An academic advisor is assigned to each student to follow up on course registration and any study plan adjustments within the specified period.
10. Orientation and arrival: The student receives arrival instructions and guidance, orientation meetings are organized, and coordination is made for the university card and housing where available.
