Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, attended the closing ceremony of the First Research Conference for University Students in Makkah Region, hosted by Jeddah University. Also present were His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council of University Affairs, Professor Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, and a number of academic and research leaders. The conference aimed to support student scientific research and foster a culture of innovation and creativity among university students by providing a scientific platform to present their projects and research, develop their research skills, and align higher education outcomes with national development needs, in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. His Highness and the attendees viewed a presentation showcasing several outstanding scientific research projects and innovative initiatives. His Highness also witnessed the signing of several cooperation agreements between Jeddah University and various entities in the fields of scientific research, entrepreneurship, and innovation. These agreements will contribute to expanding partnerships and enhancing the exchange of expertise and knowledge between universities and relevant organizations. At the conclusion of the conference, His Highness the Governor of Jeddah honored the winning and distinguished teams. In the various tracks of the conference, which numbered 140 teams represented by 309 male and female students from 10 universities in the Makkah region, the participating universities and colleges were recognized for their research efforts and scientific contributions, and to encourage continued excellence in the fields of research and innovation.
