University of Jeddah organizes the first Knowledge Investment Forum

"Under the patronage of HRH Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, and on his behalf, HH Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, attended the first Knowledge Investment Forum, organized by University of Jeddah.

His Excellency the University President, Professor Obaid Al-Mudhaff, delivered a speech in which he expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness the Deputy Governor for his patronage and to His Highness the Governor of Jeddah for his attendance and honor. He emphasized that the Knowledge Investment Forum represents an institutional path for transforming research and innovation outputs into applied projects and investment opportunities. This is achieved through the integration of efforts among colleges and institutes and the establishment of a supportive system for the transition to a knowledge economy. He explained that this approach reflects the university's commitment to transforming knowledge into value and innovation into sustainable opportunities with a developmental impact. Following this, His Highness and the attendees viewed a presentation showcasing the university's knowledge investment system. In conclusion, His Highness witnessed the signing of several cooperation agreements between Jeddah University and a number of supporting entities to incubate scalable knowledge projects. He also honored the sponsoring organizations. The forum aims to promote investment in research and innovation outputs through the launch of [a specific initiative/project/etc.]. Quality partnerships between the university, the private sector, investors and funding bodies, along with presenting the first portfolio of investable projects in the fields of education, technology, innovation and training, activating knowledge investment as a sustainable source of income, and achieving integration of efforts within the university under an institutional umbrella that leads this trend.”"
